ICMS Australasia

In 2023 we have been open for business in Sydney for 57 years, in Melbourne for 17, and in Brisbane for 16. And that’s been continuous operations for those periods of time, during all crises and including COVID-19.

 

ICMS Australasia expanded its geographic footprint and opened our first international office in Christchurch in early 2023. This was possible due to our strong position and a client base that is truly Australasian. Our forward bookings (40 confirmed events up to 2027) ensure our stability and security within the industry – an important consideration when entering a long-term partnership with a Professional Conference Organiser (PCO).

 

Experienced business events specialist Karen Hamilton has assumed the new role of Director New Zealand. In addition we have five team members specialising in key delivery areas in conference management and delivery such as program, marketing, registration and accommodation. Two team members are dedicated to sponsorship and exhibition.

 

In other news, our recent attendance at the 2023 MEA National Awards was a truly memorable night for us and our clients - the CSIRO and the Australian Geomechanics Society. Both of these events were delivered in hybrid-mode.

 

It is fair to say that we faced stiff competition from some of the industry’s leading organisations. Nevertheless, by the end of the proceedings ICMS Australasia walked away with the “Government Event of the Year”, “Event Legacy” and “Platinum Event of the Year” awards.
